Lesser Spotted Woodpecker

I've been sent a convincing description of a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker seen at Eaves Wood, Silverdale on 9th Jan by Alan Ferguson (National Trust Warden).

It was seen "along the main east to west track (called Inmans Road) just as it rises up behind the Woodlands Hotel close to the middle of the southern boundary with a mixed flock of tits."
