Good number of Turnstone seen here again today, probably in excess of 60,also Rock Pipit. There appears to have been some activity around the 'Little Owl' derelict building and I feel the bird/s may have departed.

Conder Green.

Little Grebe,Sparrowhawk, excellent view of a Merlin on the marsh,'several hundred' Bar-tailed Godwit here again.

I decided it was time I went to see the 'Ashton' Little Egret/s for myself. I picked one up a mile away at the back of Colloway Marsh at 3.45 and decided to wait to see if it came to roost. Thirty seven miutes later it was over my head to roost on the lake. By this time any enthusiasm I may have had to establish two birds had disappeared.
