Mystery bird

Can anyone help with id of attachment, photographed in a neighbour's garden in Silverdale.
Described as magpie size, and with a very pointed beak.

It looks like a Imm Starling moulting into Adult winter plumage.

Thanks for responses.
Starling was my immediate thought, but the observers clearly thought it was larger.
"We both think it was fairly large. Magpie size." Will feedback the comments to them.
