Lune Egrets

Around fifty each of adult and juvenile Little Egrets at the colony last night. Recently fledged birds have been seen feeding in and around the estuary for the past week.

Also at Ashton Hall (no general access) breeding Little Grebe, Stock Dove, a Kingfisher, large bat species and Emperor dragonflies hunting at 2230!

Yesterday (27 Jun) ''Carnforth Shore rd produced flyover Great White Egret and lapwing with babies'' (P. Brady, per twitter).

Also yesterrday ''At least 1 recently fledged Great White Egret at L. Moss'' (Jon Carter, LDBWS WhatsApp)
