Snab - increase in Sand Martins

Snab - increase in Sand Martins

At least 18 Sand Martins and a Swallow whizzing about over the Snab pool this morning.
Black-tailed Godwit - 32 non-stop feeding
Wigeon - 19 also non-stop feeding
Lapwing - 2 territories, one either end of the pool plus one on the adjacent smaller pool
Shelduck - 2 pairs
Pied Wagtail - 1 seen
Mallard - 1pr
Oystercatcher - 10 plus a flock of 28 upstream on the north bank of the Lune

Camp House pool (old oxbow):
Pr of either Ringed or Little Ringed Plover (difficult to determine at that distance but I inclined to Ringed Plover)
Lapwing 1
Sand Martin 1+

Wenning Foot pool
Little Egret.
