Surely this means the reserve is closed? Dead end paths to closed hides which are not wide enough for people to pass two metres apart surely should not be open. Which leaves the causeway as the only option but that would need closing if it became a herd instinct honeypot . It would seem sensible to assemble a small team to take individual responsibility for solitary monitoring of the various sections of the reserve, including one per hide, with records emailed to a database coordinator. Photographic/sound documentation of any scarcities as putting them out wouldn't be an option. This uneasy mixed advice over getting out where it is safe has resulted in some massive honeypots as everyone has the same idea. So Bulbeck car park, for example, had the most motorbikes I have ever seen there in March today as this indicates the impossibility of places geared towards outdoor recreation to safely regulate numbers
