2200+ Black-tailed Godwits in various flooded fields around Aldcliffe this afternoon. Some were coming in in flocks heading from Glasson area, so probably at least some of them commuting between a number of sites locally.

Building to 1770 (augmented by flocks from the S) this afternoon. Exodus just before sunset with 950 followed by 350 heading fairly high NE (to roost Warton / Leighton? Migrating?) leaving the remainder huddled on the wildfowler's pools.

Also 150 Redshanks, c1500 Pink-footed Goose, a Whooper Swan and a Barn Owl. 4 Sand Martins N.
