Pine Lake - 1st CY Ring-necked Duck still at NW corner, 6 Scaup (1 adult male, 1 1st CY male, 1 adult female and 3 1st CY type females - scattered), 112 Tufted Duck, 22 Pochard, 10 Goosander, 43 Wigeon, 5 Teal, 2 Gadwall.

Leighton Moss - Lilian's, Causeway and Lower Hide pools mostly frozen, but impressive concentrations of dabbling duck on or around the small areas of open water. Also: 4 Marsh Harrier, 8 female Goldeneye (Lilian's Hide), 4 Bearded Tit (Causeway - feeding on edges of path and on the Grit Trays), 1 Great White Egret flew into land in dead tree at Island Mere at 12.25 pm. No sign of the female Scaup at Leighton Moss, so presumably it was the extra bird at Pine Lake.
