Battery car park, Morecambe - Arrived a little too late so most of the foreshore was already covered by the morning high tide. c.5000 Knot on the small area of remaining foreshore were somewhat inevitably flushed by a dog walker. Also 3 Rock Pipit flying around over the small area of salt-marsh just north of the car park.

Mellishaw Lane - c.2500 Pink-footed Geese in field opposite Sunnyside Camping & Caravan Site, but nothing obvious among them.

Pine Lake - 1st CY Ring-necked Duck still favouring NW corner. Also: 6 Scaup (adult male, 1st CY male and 4 females), 127 Tufted Duck, 26 Pochard, 4 Goldeneye, 12 Goosander and 3 Great Crested Grebe.

Leighton Moss - Large numbers of duck from Lilian's Hide, including 31 Tufted Duck, 6 female Goldeneye, 22 Pintail and 6 species of dabbling duck, plus 2 Little Grebe. Another 6 Tufted Duck and 2 Little Grebe from Causeway Hide, with 3 scattered calling Cetti's Warbler.
