It would be good to get a handle on how many are in our area as we have been lucky with this species which is still, along with Cattle Egret nationally reportable on RBA

1) Regular Holme bird
2) and 3) two seen regularly Colloway marsh
?4) possibly one of the above recently commuting to and from presumed Ashton Hall roost and the wetland on Heysham golf course - seen flying over Midd NR.
5) to 8). Four regularly Leighton?
Kent Estuary?
Lune valley - none seen for some time

Can anyone help to clarify the Leighton/Kent Est situation and also whether there are still two on Colloway in addition to the Heysham commuter

Thanks very much

Please can we leave this as a sticky?

Probably Leighton Moss. I've seen them coming from that direction in the morning and heading back in the afternoon.

May I suggest it would be helpful to put sighting times on all reports to try to eliminate duplicate reporting.
