Absolutely on cue with the weather and time of year, one was ringed during a short suitable weather window at Heysham NR this am. First calendar year which means born this year young male - been asked by Leighton Moss visitors not to use any abbreviations of age and sex as they have not come into birding via eg reading local bird reports and the routine use of space-saving abbreviations, even Ad M and Ad F etc.
