A pleasant couple of hours with Steve at Aldcliffe.

10 tree sparrows in the hedge at the stubble field.
9 skylark over the stubble fields but they were a constant presence in groups of 1-3 earlier in the morning.
1 Chiffchaff calling in the willows around the pond in the stubble field.
c.10 goldcrest seen around the patch.
2 grey wagtails near the sewerage works.
4 meadow pipits on the high tide mark at Stodday.
2 great white egrets on Colloway marsh.
c. 20 snipe flushed around the mouth of the Conder By the rising tide.

3 Whooper Swans (2ad, 1 Juv) on the flooded field at the bottom of Aldcliffe Hall Lane at 9am this morning
