Yellow browed Warblers and Siberian Chiffchaff Heysham

After a quite extraordinary day there may have been as many as TEN yellow browed warblers in the Heysham area with systematic coverage. There was an absolute minimum of eight, probably nine and, unless one swopped tit flocks(!) ten. These were on Heysham NR and Heysham Head. Also a Siberian Chiffchaff, calling regularly, located on Smithy Lane near the Greenfoot entrance

No sign Siberian Chiffchaff today but Yellow browed Warblers located in three different areas today: two in Middleton (Tim Butler Pond and along golf course edge on the high ground at western end) and one at the Sibe Chiff site next to the community garden on Smithy Lane (just possibly two). Presumed lingering birds between NE corner to dipping pond Heyshsm NR (2-4)

Ring Ouzel imm Middleton early am

Ad Little Gull following IOM ferry

Ringing produced three new Chiffchaff but little else
