Unfortunately the Ashton Hall YBW didn't turn up in Aldcliffe. I spent about an hour with a tit flock on the top path. There were a number of goldcrests and two blackcaps but no phyll. warblers. The flood at Wildfowlers' looks like it is worth keeping an eye on for vagrant Amercan waders. It looks very much like it did the year (2012???) the lesser yellowlegs and late wood sandpiper were in residence. About 20 snipe were here but a decent westerly might bring something in. There is also a sizeable flock of BHGs and starlings. 6 pied wagtails, a meadow pipit and skylark were visible from Dawson's Bank.
