Avocet 30 adults could find only 6 young but water levels have gone up and there is no mud on the Flood. Four nests in front of Eric Morecambe have been predated on the near island along with some gulls . Fox? Now only two active nests.

Observers at Leighton Moss this morning reported that Carrion Crows had been seen predating Avocet and Black-headed Gull nests on the salt-marsh pools.
