Kingfisher Pair

Kingfisher Pair

This was upstream from Bull Beck. The mid-March floods deposited a huge chunk of tree complete with its root system just downstream from the big shingle bank. (Not too far from a kingfisher nest site in 2015)

The chunk of tree is well away from the bank & surrounded by water. The kingfisher was perched looking out one way, then hopping around & looking in other directions. It may become a good spot to see them?

It's mate arrived for some pair bonding, before they flew off in different directions.

There was a single kingfisher about half a km upstream on March 24th
