U3A Half-day walk round FAUNA (thanks to Ian N for guiding)

25 species seen through the showers.

Nice to see singing linnets so close to a city. (Flock of about 11 - two singing birds)
1 sparrowhawk.
Mixed flock of about 15 - at least one fieldfare, at least 9 redwing, 1 mistle thrush.
1 female goosander on the canal on Aldcliffe Road.

I have seen Linnets in the rough field near Pony Wood.

I have also seen 2 Greenfinch near the large Stone Fauna sign!

I often walk that way into Town.
