Golden Ball, Lune Estuary - 4 Egyptian Geese at the northern end of Aldcliffe Marsh this morning. All were unringed and not associating with a nearby group of 230 Canada Geese which also contained 1 Barnacle Goose. I think the Egyptian Geese may be a Lancashire 'tick' for me.

Battery car park to Teal Bay - A 'stop and scan' drive along the seafront at Morecambe failed to produce any small grebes offshore - only 13 Red-breasted Merganser, 6 Great Crested Grebe, 47 Ringed Plover and a Grey Seal off Morecambe Broadway.

Pine Lake - 1 adult Mediterranean Gull (white darvic ring on right leg seen when in flight), 30 Tufted Duck, 10 Pochard, 1 Goldeneye

Barrow Scout Fields - 1 Wigeon x Gadwall hybrid associating with a group of Wigeon.

Leighton Moss - 1 Great White Egret, 25 Pintail, 185 Gadwall, 110 Shoveler, 190 Teal (Lilian's Hide), 130 Teal (Grisedale Hide), 1 Otter, 12 Gadwall, 4 Goldeneye (Causeway Hide). Also: 4 Marsh Harrier (1 male, 3 female/juvs.), 2 Cetti's Warbler.
