Bowland Barn Owls and probable Water Vole
October 09, 2018 12:31AM
Two barn owls seen tonight on a drive through Bowland
One at the top of Hall Hill between Cow Ark and Whitwell. ~SD668465
The other by the cattle grid at the watershed divide north of the Trough ~ SD624528

and.......what appeared to be a Water Vole (I've not seen one for years) scurrying across the road at the bottom of the climb, SD627525.
Checking the stream uphill from Sykes Farm may be worthwhile
