Hobby - 1 hawking for insects over area between Causeway and Grisedale Hide for much of the morning.

Great White Egret - 1 perched in tree at Island Mere, then flew towards Lower Hide.

Osprey - 1 drifted over high from the NW around midday.

Marsh Harrier - 7 (2 males, 5 juveniles) between Lilian's and Grisedale Hides.

Also: 2 Little Egret, 6 Greenshank, 2 Swift, plus several singing Willow Warbler and Chiffchaff.
