Spotted Flycatchers
August 01, 2018 01:20PM
A Spotted Flycatcher was demolishing a Peacock butterfly on a wall at Harprig, just south of Wakebarrow Scar.
A pair were further south along the road by the newly created pond.
Its been a good year round here for this species with four more seen in two other separate territories near Burnsbeck Moss, on a previous occasion.
A female Common Redstart, 2 Grey Wagtail, a pair of Common Buzzard, 20 Goldfinch, and some Linnet were seen on the way back to Burnsbeck Moss.
