Red Kite

Scanning Leighton Moss from Myers Allotment produced a drifting Red Kite at 13:50-13:55. The bird was high over the woodland behind Lower Hide and drifted NW with bouts of display. At 14:05 an Osprey appeared high between Lower and the Causeway, hovered twice, then drifted South. Also Sparrowhawk circlng higher above the Osprey. Been a butterfly day but these two birds from MA were a nice lunchtime bonus!

Teneral Azure Damselfly and 2 Broad-bodied Chasers at Myers. A good site in spring for the later species.

Cheers.

A red kite came over Yealand Redmayne at about 1120ish, flying SE over towards Carnforth where I lost it. It was very high.
