An adult shag was on the sea off Bolton-le-Sands at high tide. An immature peregrine caught a knot and brought it onto the marsh to feed.

Elsewhere, a common sandpiper was on the Lune by the railway bridge in Lancaster.

I was just saying today how rare shags were in April (spring generally) c/f the ongoing Heysham 2cy seen again today and now we have this obviously different adult!
