A brief visit at 4.00 pm revealed:

Flooded field at end of Aldcliffe Hall Lane - 1 Green Sandpiper, 41 Dunlin, 16 Redshank, 2 Snipe

Aldcliffe Marsh (adjacent 'walled field') - 3 Stonechat ( 2 males, 1 female) hopping around on the soft turf of the salt-marsh like migrant Wheatears.

River Lune (late afternoon high tide) - 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 male Goosander
