Sizergh Castle
3 Hawfinch (m, 2f) in the tall trees around the car park from 09:00, mostly high up but sometimes dropping lower and showing quite well
Green Woodpecker calling towards the castle
c20 Fieldfare overhead
all the usual suspects e.g. Bullfinch, Coal Tit, Nuthatch etc present in good numbers

Leighton Moss
Bittern in flight from Causeway Hide
Great White Egret right in front of Grisedale Hide
Otter showing ridiculously well from Tim Jackson Hide for 30 minutes
2 Marsh Harrier
good concentration of ducks on the Causeway/Lower pool, including at least 40 Pintail, 50 Gadwall and a male Pochard
2 Jay
1 Raven calling
c5 Marsh Tit
Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming
Stoat partially in ermine in the reedbed near Tim Jackson

Pine Lake
1 redhead Goosander
6 male Pochard
11 Goldeneye
c30 Tufted Duck
3 Shoveler
14 Wigeon
no Scaup
