Halforth
2 Whooper [adult plus juv] with 17 Mute Swan. Looks like the same two Whooper which have been around most of this month.
125 Lapwing

Sampool- 11 Goldeneye
1 Pinkfoot with large mixed flock of Greylag and Canada Goose

College Green -a flock of 34 Meadow Pipit. The largest this Winter.
18 Pied Wagtail
5 Little Egret
40 Fieldfare

A Skylark was singing overhead briefly at Heversham Moss yesterday.

Monday I enjoyed watching a male Sparrowhawk trying to capture one of those Meadow Pipits.

We are doing well for Sparrowhawk round here Redders.
The 34 Meadow Pipit may well be a combination of two separate flocks that have been around here..
