A massive minimum of 1036 off heysham this am quite probably another 150 or so as I was cautious counting the two dense groups and some were concealed by skeer. No ad male king but who knows re queen/imm male at that range (obs from north wall) Chance to restore king eider to lancs list after losing it when Lancs north of sands was deemed Cumbrian!

Eider 800 plus of STONE JETTY now11.30 floating into the bay

Final count was 1221 when the tide rose up a bit allowing all in view - 6 scaup a bit further out

Three sweeps using x20 block counts were carries out this am and the average was 1410.
