Redwings - Crook O' Lune

Looked the sort of morning for some Redwings and not disappointed. At least 4 birds dropped in and joined c20 Song Thrushes and 3+ Mistle Thrushes all feeding on Yew berries.

Cheers

No further Redwings here but at least 30 Song Thrushes around. Several dark mantled continental birds but mostly 'locals', good breeding season? Most I have recorded here along with 10 Mistle Thrushes. Two Redpolls also dropped in this morning.

Cheers

Thanks go to Pete Crooks for today's header photo of Aldcliffe. If you have a suitable picture of a local birding spot, why not send it to the webmaster, at andymccafferty@gmail.com? I need to resize (and if necessary crop) pictures to make them 600x130 pixels, so ideally send it at that size (definitely not smaller).
