Sunday update:
Brief visit this morning revealed a slight but significant drop in water levels. As a result a green sandpiper was on the Wildfowlers' Pools.
There was little on the marsh or river no doubt thanks to the recreational drone being flown here there and everywhere... get used it it folks, it'll be happening more and more.

3 Med gulls among the mass of BH gulls anting over my house this afternoon.

* Adult Med gull in newly cut fields at Claughton yesterday evening.

Thanks go to Pete Crooks for today's header photo of Aldcliffe. If you have a suitable picture of a local birding spot, why not send it to the webmaster, at andymccafferty@gmail.com? I need to resize (and if necessary crop) pictures to make them 600x130 pixels, so ideally send it at that size (definitely not smaller).
