Felt very Swifty today. Began with 4+ flying around the RSPB Lancaster office on the White Cross Estate. Then one seen entering a nest site at 34 Ullswater Road, Lancaster. c.15 flying around rooftops in Wray (plus numerous House Martins) including several checking under the eaves at the Old Friends Meeting House then similar at Caton with 6+ at the Methodists Chapel including 3 entering nest sites. Shame it ended with our neighbours at White Cross demanding we turn the attraction calls system off because it was annoying them.

Not as hairy as illegal bass fishermen telling us to switch off a storm petrel tape at heysham wooden jetty. We disappeared very quickly as was suggested by them!

Thanks go to Pete Crooks for today's header photo of Aldcliffe. If you have a suitable picture of a local birding spot, why not send it to the webmaster, at andymccafferty@gmail.com? I need to resize (and if necessary crop) pictures to make them 600x130 pixels, so ideally send it at that size (definitely not smaller).
