Ring-necked parakeet?

What appeared to be a ring-necked parakeet was perched at the top of a tree in York Road, Bowerham. It began calling as it flew off over Bowerham Road. This could have been an escaped bird, has anyone heard any reports?

A scarlet macaw was rescued from trees on Lancaster Uni campus yesterday (March 14) - has someone released their entire collection?

One was apparently at Beaumont College a couple of days back, I let Pete Marsh know.
