Siskin passage

Decent numbers over high tatham in an hour early morning. Usually vis mig problem with this species of hearing and not seeing but eg flocks of 40 and 15 were seen heading SW

Certainly far outnumbering Redpoll here at Leighton, very different to last year.

Is that vis or grounded, Kevin. A freezing cold hour listening for flyover waxwing saw another dose of 750 fieldfare and smaller numbers of starling and wood pigeon but only one Siskin flock over high tatham this am

Both Pete, although vis has been limited due to work. But grounded around the centre and down the causeway and path to lower large flocks of siskins with very little redpoll's bar one flock of c15.
Completely different to last year, which was a conveyer belt of redpoll's
