Eleven Waxwings in Hornby Castle grounds feeding on white Rowan berries and resting in Alder tree arrived at 12.30 still around at 3.30.

Please note Hornby Castle is private but the grounds are open this Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Will update tomorrow if they are still around or not.

The eleven Waxwings still at Hornby Castle all day around walled garden.

Castle gardens are open tomorrow and Sunday 11am to 4pm for snowdrops GBP4 admission

Waxwings still around on Sunday but were away for quite a period of time and not seen after 2pm, very few berries left on tree.
Been told over the weekend that they had been in a garden in the village since the 10th'

One Waxwing in a birch tree towards the northern end of Lentworth Drive, Scotforth at 1.20 pm.

Almost deja vu:

Two Waxwings in a tree towards the northern end of Lentworth Drive, Scotforth at 1.10 pm (opposite number 22).

(This is the first time I've driven down this road at this time of day since last Friday's sighting.)

8 Waxwings St. Johns Ave.Silverdale. 8.3.17. Also 1 Waxwing same place the week before.

26 in St Johns Ave today at 1.30. Berries still there. Birds flew off towards the village centre and perched in a high tree near Bleasdale school

12 in tree next to aonb office next to arnside station at 17.45 this evening in perfect conditions.

Finally caught up with Waxwings when a flock flew over my open bedroom window and landed in a tree over the road. 18 in total feeding near Burrow beck off Cranwell Avenue.

Up to 23 now. Probably some berries left near Cork Road looking at the direction they came in from.
