Caton Moor 0720-0910

Birds south unless stated. Most birds flying very high and a lot missed (or dismissed as they were just unrecogniseable dots in the sky). Quite a few
birds from an easterly direction, especially finches, Starlings from north and north west and heading south east. Very high flying Woodpigeons from N, lower flying ones from Lune Valley.

Skylark 5
Meadow Pipit 62
alba Wagtail 6
Starling 242 (SE)
Chaffinch 58 (W then SW)
Greenfinch 1
Goldfinch 21
Linnet 16
Reed Bunting 1

615 birds, 11 species, 1.5 hrs.

Also Carrion Crow 1 SW
Cormorant 1 E

Intermittent observation so probably a lot missed.

130 birds, 14 species. 2.5hrs
