Vis 1hr am

17 Collared Dove S in 2s and 3s

1 Swallow S

2 Grey Wagtail circling S

4 Alba Wagtail S

17 Greenfinch N

9 Chaffinch S & E

21 Goldfinch N (treehopping, incl c 50% juv)

3 Siskin E

4 Mistle Thrush W

1 Bullfinch E

with the exception of the Goldfinch, all these were 'high birds' at say 75 - 150' obviously not local or semi resident. the collared doves were going like a bat out of hell.

other birds of note:

Grey Heron, Sparrowhawk, rise in local B Tit nos to gardens, 3 Jays feeding locally in a sort of Berlin Airlift of anything they can find. They don't tolerate each other at feeders and wait their turn to move in. The Magpies are very wary.

In addition, 4pm

5 Grey Wagtail all circling and down together to Highfield Allotments, Freehold feeding on flies around dung heaps and recently dug soil. Headed away south.

More Alba Wgtl south at the same time (perhaps 15 in 2s and 3s) but no time to sit and watch

Local Magpies together as a group of 19

2 GS Woodpeckers calling from high branches
