Little Owl

Atlast after a helping hand from a cast of hundreds. The Little Owl has finaly been seen.
Sat large as life on the Chimney Stack of the half demolished house. My thanks go to the helpers and for the directions given.

Also seen on the sands were several flocks of B.T.Godwits. several hundred Widgeon. the usual large attendance of Curlews.Along Moss Lane can be found several gatherings of Fieldfares, about 20 in each flock, feeding on the hawthorn berries

Along the Cycle path ( didnt walk down as far as the Waxwings, thats for tomorrow )
6 L.T.Tits. 34 Blackbirds. 4 Goldfinch.
4 Greenfinch. 2 Robin. 3 Mistle Thrush. Tree

Finaly to Leighton Moss to see the invasion of approx 2.000 Starlings and to have a cup of coffee. Rather enjoyable day
