LDBWS welcomes contributions to this forum from both members and non-members alike but requests that any postings follow the advice given in the Birdwatcher's Code of Conduct (see link below), particularly with regard to any information which might indicate the breeding locations of rare or locally uncommon species. To maintain an open and informative forum, LDBWS has no wish to exercise control over the content of postings but must point out that they are the responsibility of the individual contributor and that the information given and/or the views expressed are, by definition, not necessarily those of the Society.
How to add your sightings
Click the "New Topic" which appears at the top of the message list, or this link if you can't see it! You'll need to register first, but this takes a few seconds: all you need to pick is a username (something like joebloggs, i.e. not using spaces, and all lowercase) and password, and include your email address. You don't need to register to view sightings. Once you've registered, you can click here to change things like password, email address, real name etc. To access other sections of this forum, use the links above. In particular, please post topics for discussion in "Discussion", and insect sightings in "Insects"! (If you can't find a message that you posted under "Sightings" recently, please check one of the other sections from the list above)
You now have the choice of whether or not to allow your email address to be shown when you post something here: to change this setting, either click the "edit profile" link at the top of the page, or click here to go directly to the email privacy page (remember to click "submit" on that page when you're finished!). Email addresses (when shown) are in a spam-protected format. If for some reason you can't register on the site at the moment, you can also email your news to firstname.lastname@example.org
and it will be added to the site at a later date.
